Hi, I'm Julia.
I'm the owner of Jewels Photo Co., a Missouri wedding photographer, and for nearly two decades I've believed that photography is about far more than beautiful images. It's about preserving the people, relationships, and emotions that make life's most meaningful moments unforgettable.
What began with my first photography class in 2006 has grown into a career that's allowed me to document more than 250 weddings and thousands of milestone moments for couples and families across Missouri and beyond. Every wedding, engagement, senior session, and branding experience has reinforced one simple truth: the best photographs happen when you feel completely present.
My approach blends intentional direction with genuine, unscripted moments. I'll step in when you need guidance, help you navigate your timeline with confidence, and then step back so the laughter, happy tears, and quiet in-between moments can unfold naturally. The result is a gallery that feels authentic to your story rather than staged for the camera.
Outside of photography, I'm married to my husband, Matthew, and we're raising our three children together. Our own Colorado elopement and love of traveling have deepened my appreciation for celebrating life's milestones in meaningful places, whether that's close to home or across the country.
For me, this work has never been about simply taking pictures. It's about creating an experience that allows you to be fully immersed in the people you love while every glance, embrace, joyful tear, and once-in-a-lifetime memory is preserved with care, intention, and artistry.
